We are helping to spread the word about The CROWN Act across the Mid South! Our goal? To inform 1000 families about The CROWN Act-- a law that prohibits race-based hair discrimination. So far, we have distributed 80 packets to families in the MidSouth! - a letter about The CROWN Act for young readers from Sable, the main character of "Brown Girl, Brown Girl"
- a letter about The CROWN Act for parents and guardians from Rhymes and Spines founder and 5x author, Kori Swearengen
- a literary worksheet about the beauty of natural styles for young learners
- a literary prompt for parents/guardians encouraging them to write and express their hair story
- a golden hair bead like our main character Sable!
