I love my CROWN!!

Rhymes and Spines is about uplifting and empowering our community . Our founder, Kori Swearengen writes books with brown and black characters that engage, educate, and empower children. We also partnered up with Hidden Gems Literary Emporium and Tiesha Brunson to produce a video help and spread the news about The CROWN Act- a law that prohibits race-based hair discrimination.

Our founder, Kori Swearengen has had firsthand experience with race based hair discrimination and she does not want young brown and black children to continue to go through this unfair treatment.
